1st Eppleton Scout Group is a small group in the District of Houghton Le Spring,and the County of Durham. The group was founded in 1950 and has met in three headquarters including our present one which was purpose built in 1964. When the group founded it was originally called 1st Hetton Le Hole and was renamed in 1964 as 1st Eppleton. At present we have 4 leaders of which 2 are cub leaders, and 2 scout leaders. Even though we are a small group we have the privilege of 1 scout leader being District Commissioner and 1 cub leader who was A.D.C cubs.

The Brownies were founded in 1943 at present there is one leader and a helper.
